Blood tests & Profiles

I have visited the doctor for preventative heart checkup. The doctor is very good and listen to all the questions we had and suggested for tests. We had a very nice experience as all the tests are done in the clinic itself and got the reports also with very short span of time. The clinic is very clean and staffs are also very friendly and supportive. I recommend this place for any heart related diagnosis and treatment.

Dr Rahul is a gem cardiac doctor, have vast knowledge and have clarity in his thoughts. First time I consulted him for my mother's heart issue in 2020, he suggested some test which we did at his clinic. Based on my past experiences, I consulted him again on 8th July 2023. Medical reports and echo test was not encouraging. He gave us ample time and explained the issue in details and suggested to consult cardiac surgeon. We consulted one CTVS at Apollo hospital, bannerghtta road who suggested to go for a surgery. To take second opinion, I consulted couple of more cardiac surgeon and everyone suggested surgery for my mother. Finally we did my mother's surgery on 8th Aug 23 and my mother is doing great now. I was literally confused but Dr Rahul guided me in right direction. He will always give you right suggestion. He will give you enough time and explain the issue in details. I will highly recommend him for any heart related issues.

A heart attack (also known as a myocardial infarction) occurs when the heart is deprived of oxygen, which can cause damage to the heart muscle:
  • This happens when one of the arteries that supply blood to the heart becomes narrowed or blocked.
  • The blockage is often caused by a related condition known as coronary artery disease, where a fatty substance known as plaque builds up on heart artery walls over time.
  • This plaque can break, and a piece can form a clot that cuts off most or all of the blood supply to the heart.
  • Although blockages due to cholesterol buildup is the most common cause of a heart attack, in a minority of cases there can also be other causes.
It’s important to know your specific risk factors, which fall into two categories:
Risk factors you can’t change: These include your age, gender and race
Risk factors that can be modified: These include lifestyle considerations such as diet, exercise, smoking and using other tobacco products, alcohol usage and stress and also medical  conditions that can be controlled, such as obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol or high blood pressure
Possibly. When you have a heart attack, it means that heart muscle is being deprived of oxygen. This causes damage to the muscle, which can in turn affect how well your heart is able to pump blood. However, heart muscle can heal, and in some cases the muscle is not damaged enough to affect pumping. In others, the muscle damage can lead to the development of scar tissue on your heart that affects pumping function
The most common myth is that people think they are too young to have a heart attack. The reality is that this life-threatening condition can occur in adults of all ages. Even those younger people who don’t have diabetes or high blood pressure may be at an increased risk of having a heart attack if they smoke or make other poor lifestyle choices.
common symptoms which can possibly relate to heart malfunctions are
Chest pain or discomfort
Pain or discomfort in other areas of the upper body
Shortness of breath
Other symptoms: These may include lightheadedness, fatigue or breaking out in a cold sweat
Test like ECG, 2 D ECHO,TMT,CT-ANGIO,CAG, TROP-I, D-DIMER can help in diagnosing Heart attacks
longer the wait -bigger the damage
Dont wait any longer - One person dies every 33 seconds from cardiovascular disease
